September Gothamettes Design Team Card

Marty's sketch:

My interpretation:

Making Septembers entry to http://gothamcitystampers.com/2011/09/martys-masterpiece-september-creations/2010-cards-014/ was very emotional for me. The photo I used is of our cat Velcro drinking from our pool. In June we had to have Velcro put to sleep because of illness. She was only eight years old and we really miss her. I used Stampin Up card stock, and handmade flower that I won in a blog hop. I’m sorry to say with my lousy memory for names I can’t remember who made it. I added a small rose in the center from a Swirlydoos Club Kit . The ribbon is from Michael’s and the rhinestones are Kaiserscrapbook. Last, I distressed the edges with Coffee Archival Ink.

August Gothamette's Design Team Entry

Can't believe how long it's been since I posted on here. It's time to put up my http://gothamcitystampers.com/category/gothamettes-design-team/ entry for August.
First Marty's Sketch.

Now, my interpretation of the sketch:
The background paper for this card is Fearless on the Page, Artist's paper by Mallory Fisher w/art elements courtesy of Erin Kenepp - Stampington & Co. I used Creamy Carmel ink pad from SU on the background behind the palm. The Palm came from Big Memories Ideas - Soft Spoken Embellishments as did the crystals. I used Archival Vintage Sepia to distress the edges and gold Stickles, & Sutdio G White and Yellow Glitter Glue on the card also.

Thank you card

Above is the front of the thank you card I made today. I used a 4..75x6.75 cardstock embossed with a gears embossing plate. It's layered with navy cardstock. My DDIL has the embossing equipment. I distressed  the card with TH Faded Jeans and Archival Vintage Sepia. The stamps on the front are from Stampin Up. They are layered with craft and navy cardstocks.

The gears on the pocket on the back were cut on the Cricket, also thanks to my DDIL. They were inked with TH Faded Jeans. The stamp on the note on the back is from Michaels.
